Katleen

Katleen is a French-American vocalist, who grew up listening to American rock, jazz and gospel, as well as French standards of Edith Piaff and Claude François.  Her early exposure to different genres, languages, and living places has resulted in an artist who enjoys a wide range, be it language, genre (gospel, pop, R&B, jazz, classical) or technical (F3-F6 ).

While living in San Francisco, she participated in Musical Theater at the American Conservatory Theater and in the San Francisco Opera Summer Conservatory.  In San Diego, she attended Coronado School of the Arts, and was awarded a prize from the National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts for her rendition of "Listen". Pivoting from Gospel to Opera, Katleen graduated from the Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University, with a BM in Vocal Performance.  She learned composition while at OCU and got her "opera chops" singing the role of the Queen of the Night in Mozart's Magic Flute, which also won her an award in the La Jolla Symphony's Young Artist Competition in 2018.

The vocal training of opera is a wonderful base, which enables Katleen to sing a wide variety of the music she loves.  She enjoys live performance, jazz ensembles, church and classical singing.  Katleen lives and works in both Europe and the United States.  She has performed as a featured Soloist at the L'Arc Cafe (Arc de Triomphe, Paris) and Le Duc des Lombard (Parisian Jazz Club) and is a session singer for private clients in Paris at Caleson Production Studios. She has also performed with various DJs and as part of a duo in other parts of Europe for private live events.

In the U.S., Katleen sings regularly in San Diego restaurants and nightclubs, and is a featured singer for several corporate and wedding bands. Most recently, she was a featured soloist at Disney's D23 Expo, in Anaheim California, where she performed the role of Elsa, "Into the Unknown"  from the hit movie Frozen 2.

Katleen also has ample experience in the recording studio.  In addition to recording regularly in Paris for various projects, she was a featured soloist for Disney’s ABC Holiday Special "The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration”, recorded in Los Angeles. Katleen is an avid songwriter and composer: her voice and music can currently be heard on TV shows such as the Young and the Restless and Bravo's "Real Girlfriends of Paris" & "Love Without Borders".
